What Does the Bible Say About Money?

A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children - Proverbs 13:22

It’s good news to know that we don’t have to carry our wn anxieties – we can give them to God. He holds the whole world in His hands, so He is more than able to carry our worries and fears when we are overwhelmed by finances.

The concept of giving our firstfruits to the Lord is mentioned throughout Scripture. One way to trust God with your finances is to give generously to your local church or a favorite ministry. It may feel risky, but as we honor the Lord with our wealth, we will see Him provide.
“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones.” - Luke 16:10
You can begin to faithfully give and faithfully save, even when it feels like you don’t have that much to offer God or your savings account. It pleases God when we are faithful with little and faithful with much.
Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it. - Proverbs 13:11
This verse is pointing arrows at “get-rich-quick-schemes.” Wealth gained too quickly tends to dwindle and cause chaos. Those who sow, reap, and invest little by little will see a fruitful increase.
Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done. - Proverbs 19:17
As we see throughout the Bible, generosity is a core tenet of Christianity and a core aspect of the character of God. Giving is good for the one who receives and the one who gives… and we’re almost positive that it puts a smile on God’s face each time we give, too.
