God will go to great lengths to rescue us. He’s always, with each and every person, trying to do in their life what will give them the best chance of coming back to him. God will climb any mountain or rescue us from any pit that will bring us closer to Him!
God is the perfect Father. Like a good parent, His love is very strategic. As a father, business owner, and part-time pastor, I have learned the value of having a strategy.
Love Means Wanting the Best For People
My wife and I have five children and each one is different. What might be best for one child is not great for another. As good parents, we strategize, pray, and communicate in a way that we hope is best for our children. Each one is different!
Love Means Recognizing People’s Uniqueness
As a business owner with around 50 employees, I see that each one is different. When we hire someone for one position we sometimes realize that's not the right seat on the bus for them. We want them on our team, but their gifts and abilities are in a different place than we hired them for.
So, we strategize and think about what's best for them and best for the company, so that things have the best long-term outcome. What’s best for one employee may not be another’s best possible outcome.
Love Means Seeking the Best Possible Outcome
When helping people as a pastor, sometimes challenging them is very effective. Other people need to be supported and gently loved. And there are times in all of our lives when we need the opposite!
God’s Spirit can lead in these decisions. With wisdom, we attempt to see what God is doing in people's lives and partner with God for the best outcome.
Love Means Seeing People Through God’s Eyes
We need to learn to see everything through God's eyes. Loving through God's heart. Understanding with God's wisdom. It’s about not letting our own feelings, frustrations or follies get in the way of doing what's best for others!
Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' -Matthew 22:37

God Wants What’s Best For Us
God loves us with the best long-term outcome in mind. He's concerned not just for the life that we live here, but for our good for all eternity. Life here is not just about life here.
God is love, and love does what's best for the other person. He sees the things we don't see, because His thoughts are above our thoughts and His ways are above our ways.
That's why He is so insistent that we grow in faith. He loves us and is able to make all things work together for our good!
