Being a follower of Jesus doesn't mean that life will be easy. We all face seasons in life when we feel stressed, worried, or anxious.

How do we respond to times of worry? We can respond with faith, not fear. Here are some ways to help you respond to worry with faith and hope.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” -Joshua 1:9

Prayers for Anxiety and Worry

Prayer for Anxiety:

Father, I need your help. I am overwhelmed, but you are the peace that calms the storm. I am tired, but you are the strength that is made perfect in my weakness. You see me, You know me, You know every thought I’m having before it crosses my mind. I pray that You would help me to cast all my anxieties on You. Help me, by Your Spirit, to receive your care for me.

I acknowledge that I can’t shoulder the load and that I can’t do it on my own. Help me to remember that your burden is light. Meet me, Lord. Minister to me, Jesus. Help me in my time of need. Help me to remember that Your peace You’ve given to me and that Your peace calms my heart so that I don’t have to be afraid.
